The primary aim is a return to sports at a preinjury physical and emotional level and to prevent re-injury. In addition to injury-specific rehabilitation, it is important to eliminate risk factors and identify why the injury happened in the first place. We also want to look at the prevention of overall deconditioning during rehabilitation.
Depending on the type of injury you have sustained, your programme will include a number of parts which may include strengthening exercises, mobilising, pain relief techniques and functional skills. We aim to maximise recovery by tailoring the rehabilitation to your individual goals and monitoring your progress throughout.
